Firstly, and most importantly, I want to say on behalf of myself and the committee, a huge thank you to everyone affiliated with Maidenbower Colts.
Be it coaches, players, parents, helpers, spectators, and anyone who has provided support, advice, and assistance in 2021. Without your hard work, we certainly would not be in the position we are in now.
This year, the club had to work miracles to get itself ready for football whilst satisfying the ever-changing demands of the Government and Football Association to be Covid compliant. The committee did a fantastic job getting the club ready with writing risk assessments from scratch for all of our training facilities amongst other things. Sometimes I don’t think the players and supporters realise how much work goes on behind the scenes to enable them to play football and I would like to thank my fellow Committee Members and Volunteers who do so much for the club and without them, there would be no club.
Even though every single one of our committee members plays an exceptional part in running the club, a special mention has to go to our Club Development Officer who has worked tirelessly looking for ways to keep our players engaged during the year.
Also, I need to give a special thank you to all our sponsors who continue to support and back us despite the difficult times that they are facing themselves. It is fantastic that businesses have committed to the club again this year and I would ask that when it is safe to do so we return the support by using their services and buying their products.
Finally, I would like to wish all our players, supporters, coaches, committee members and volunteers a safe Christmas and a prosperous New year.
