Assistant Coach James works alongside our FA Qualified Coaches to deliver training sessions for our U10 age group. James (15) was until recently a Player at Colts. Having made the decision that he wanted to follow the coaching pathway, the club offered James the opportunity to develop his coaching experience whilst remaining a Colt. Having completed his FA Playmaker course, James is now an integral part of the coaching team for the U10’s. When James turns 16, the club will support James with the continuation of his formal FA Training.
We asked James a few questions so you could get to know him:
FAVOURITE FOOTBALL CLUB – Brighton and Hove Albion
FAVOURITE PLAYER – Shane Duffy, but I do enjoy watching Pascal Gross pull a Cruyff turn week in week out.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THE COACHING PATHWAY – I decided to stop playing football for my team last year but still wanted to be involved with Colts so decided to start coaching instead which is really rewarding
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT COACHING – I enjoy watching the Players get better and progress every week whether that’s in terms of strength, skill or fitness. I also enjoy filling in the spaces when there are not enough numbers I have to say!
