Maidenbower Colts FC is an England Football 2-Star Accredited Youth Football Club. Established in 1998 as a community-minded club, accessible to all children.
As the Club has developed over the years we now find ourselves with around 200 youth Players from Mini Colts (Reception & SY1) right through to Open Age. We field teams in the Crawley & District Youth League, Horsham & District Youth League, and the Mid-Sussex Youth League. We also offer tournament football in the summer.
As a successful club with a great reputation, we now have a demand to establish new Squads at both U7 and U8 ages.
As a Volunteer Football Coach, you will be responsible for the development of a Foundation Level Football Team, supported by a well-established and structured Football Club.
You will deliver weekly training sessions to build your team’s confidence, skills, ability, and understanding of the sport – but most importantly, ensure they are having fun and enjoying playing football. There will also be weekly matches, either in an informal development league or if suitable in the Crawley & District Youth League where games are played at Broadfield 3G on a Sunday morning.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to establish themselves as a Coach whilst developing their own Coaching style and gain experience – all whilst being supported by experienced Club Coaches and a hard-working Committee.
You will be required to undertake a DBS Check, complete a FA Safeguarding Course (online) and a FA First Aid Course (online) which will be funded by the Club.
Previous Coaching experience or an academic sports background would help. However, it is not a necessity as the Club will support you through all the required training, including any coaching qualifications needed if you do not already have them.
We ask from you that:
⚽️You are passionate about working with children and developing their interest in football and as importantly, about positively impacting their lives.
⚽️You are reliable, committed, and can logistically get to and run training sessions and games as required.
⚽️ You have the ability to actively engage with and build positive relationships with young people, as well as the rest of the Coaching Staff and Club.
⚽️You can manage parental expectations and communicate clearly with them.
⚽️You are creative, enthusiastic, confident, and resilient.
⚽️Be willing to support and uphold the club’s values.
⚽️Be willing to complete all mandatory FA training & qualifications (which will be funded by the Club).
