As the curtain comes down on our Maidenbower Colts FC U18 squad’s grassroots journey, we want to take a moment to recognise an exceptional group of young men. This team have largely been together since they joined us at U10, and they’ve consistently performed at a high level, showing quality, character and togetherness throughout. It’s been a genuine pleasure watching them grow — not just as footballers, but as people.
Having now completed their final season and celebrated with their end-of-season awards, we want to wish every single one of them the very best as they head off to university, work, or further education. We hope the friendships and memories you’ve made travel with you, and that the lessons learned, habits built and values instilled serve you well in whatever path you take.
A huge thank you as well to Darren and Neil — two outstanding volunteers who’ve coached and led this squad with unwavering dedication and professionalism. Your commitment has been second to none, and we’re truly grateful for everything you’ve done over the years.
