Coach Darren said:
At late afternoon kick up at Oriel school saw us host Hailsham.
We started very quickly and nearly got instant goals, both George and Charlie just going the other side of the post. One could have thought it would be one of those days.
Further perservience lead to a header flick on from Charlie, that George raced for and with a brilliant finish scored across the goal into the bottom corner.
Charlie then found the pace to burst ahead and score a good goal.
A lapse of concentration saw us make mistakes, which allowed Hailsham to get a goal.
A brilliant run in midfield from our captain Kieran, who unselfishly passed to Keir and with an awesome shot scored another fantastic goal.
Half time 3-1 to us.
Our defensive players, Alfie, Mason, Joe, Callum and Nathan T were fantastic all match.
The midfield players, Nathan M, Kieran, Jack M, Jack S, Keir and Ben kept playing extremely well and threading the ball forward.
George and Charlie played extremely well upfront and Charlie was very unlucky after numerous attempts not to score many more goals. After a clash of heads Charlie was taken off.
A fantastic ball from Callum saw George get another great finish putting us well in front and we then dominated the match.
An incident where our fab GK Miles had to be taken off after a serious foul on him (red card), saw Jack M step up and do a superb effort in goal and making serval good saves. After the match Jack M was awarded Player Of The Match for going in goal to cover for Miles and denying Hailsham anything.
An all round impressive and dominating performance where every player stepped up and played very well.
