Maidenbower Colts FC U9 Yellow Team attended the Sussex Sixes at Uckfield Grasshoppers F. this weekend.
They managed to come through the group stages with an undefeated record and conceding no goals in the process to progress to the 1/4 finals .
After a flying start to the 1/4 final Colts found themselves 2-0 up quickly and saw out the game brilliantly to secure a semi final position.
Yet another tight and nervy game Colts scored a fine goal to secure a 2nd tournament final in a week vs a very strong opponent.
Colts started the final in determined fashion, keeping possession brilliantly & grabbing the initiative to take the lead, this only motivated them to push for another goal and after fine work on the left hand side of the pitch, a ball across the box and finished at the far post perfectly to give them a commanding lead . A fine goal from the opposition then followed to make it a nervy end but the Colts yet again held on with incredible will and determination to make it a very special week.
