“After weeks of rain, illness and injury, we finally got to play in the glorious sunshine with a full squad!
Due to our opponents suffering some illness/injury we played 8-a-side, meaning players had to work harder on the pitch to fill the gap left by the missing player.
It was a well matched game with lots of opportunities to score. The team made some great runs and challenges, showing they were thinking ahead and watching how the our opposition were playing. By the end of the 1st half their hard work paid off with our first goal.
Going in to the 2nd the girls were eager to keep ahead and stayed focused. We added in our “game changers” and made sure to put their defenders and goalkeeper to work which resulted in two more goals for the Colts!
We finished the game 3-0 up which was a whole team effort.
