Coach Cat said: “After 5 weeks with no games, the team was eager to get out on the pitch for our last game of the season.

“We started the first half with an early goal, and despite some great challenges, passes and runs, we were unable to extend our lead against a strong Crawley Down Gatwick team.
Our opposition continued to press until the final whistle for what turned out to be an edge of your seat, hold your breath kind of game!
Some solid defending and great saves from the Colt’s keeper kept the girls ahead and the game finished 1-0.

“The result meant that in their first season, the girls finished runners up in their division – a fantastic achievement!

All the coaches are incredibly proud of all of the team’s hard work this season and look forward to upcoming tournaments and to see what next season brings!
