Maidenbower Colts FC is very pleased to announce the appointment of Emma Kenyon to the Club Committee as Club Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Lead.
Emma Kenyon, DE&I Lead Said:
“I’m really pleased to be invited to join the Club Committee in the newly established role of Club DE&I Lead.
As a Children’s Safeguarding Manager and Senior Mental Health Lead at a local School, it is my priority to ensure diversity is celebrated, equality is promoted and inclusion is achieved. Colts are already making brilliant progress and I am looking forward to being part of this journey.”
Richie Coleman, Club Chairman said:
“This is yet another positive step for the club. I’m delighted Emma has agreed to join the Club Committee as she brings so much experience and knowledge of DE&I.
We have such a fantastically diverse football family at Colts and it should be celebrated and supported.
We have an amazing and growing Pan Disability section and this season welcomed our first-ever all-girls squads. As a Sussex County FA Equality Chartered Club, a Kick it Out Equality Chartered Club, a HerGameToo Partner Club, and a Football v Homophobia Champion Club we have already made genuine strides forward.
Having Emma onboard will add further energy and drive as we strive to break down all barriers to youth sport at the grassroots level, and for Colts to be an exemplary club in this regard.”
