We are thrilled to announce the commencement of our community partnership with Thomas Bennett Community College Football Academy and the Chelsea Foundation this week!
Initially, six of our teams will be joined by work experience placement coaches for the next 10 weeks, easily recognisable in their Chelsea FC kits.
This partnership will open up work experience opportunities for their Academy Students, particularly those in the Sixth Form. These students, in addition to pursuing their A-Levels, are engaged in Level 3 studies in Football Coaching and Sports Management, along with acquiring FA-recognised Coaching Qualifications.
This collaboration offers an incredible chance for their students to gain hands-on experience in grassroots coaching settings within the community. It also provides our football club with the opportunity to have our Coaching Team assisted by young, aspiring coaches who are dedicated to full-time coaching education and actively participating in football at a national league level. This exposure not only enhances the experience for our players but also serves as a source of inspiration, presenting young and dynamic role models for our Colts.
This wonderful community project allows our players to witness firsthand the educational aspects of pursuing their passion for football. It strengthens our connection with the well-organised and impressive setup at TBCC’s Chelsea Section and potentially establishes a clear pathway for our own players interested in following a similar route.
