Maidenbower Colts FC is utterly opposed to all forms of discrimination, hate, and online abuse. The recent hateful comments made online and aimed at Footballers have been sickening and saddening. Therefore, we will be joining The FA, footballing authorities, charities, associations, and Football Clubs at all levels of the game in a social media boycott from tomorrow (Friday) at 15:00 through to Monday at 23:59. Whilst we may never be able to stop the small minority of narrow-minded individuals who behave in this way, this social media boycott is a clear message to those who operate the social media platforms that more has to be done to eradicate online hate. We’re making a stand against online abuse. Enough is enough.
