Looking at ways to make our club more ethical and in tune with the world, following on from our recent Nutrition Workshops and having seen League 2 leaders and vegan trail blazers Forest Green have a super successful 21/22 campaign we are so proud to announce that Maidenbower Colts FC will be going 100% Vegan for season 22/23!
Chairperson Danny Picknell said:
“This is a really exciting project for us as a club and we’ve put a lot of hard work into it before announcing it. Having personally been on a recent health and fitness drive with our Club Kit Officer, Mitch Pattison, we’ve both seen the physical benefits of being 100% vegan. I want all of our young Players to benefit from this initiative.
Our Kit Officer has been working to source vegan approved kits and footballs for our 22/23 campaign and we will be banning all leather football boots.
All Players signing up for the Colts 22/23 season will be expected to sign up to our ‘100% Vegan Charter’.
I will be running regular Vegan cooking workshops to help everyone to stick with it”
More details to follow.
Today one group of our Mini Colts received their brand new Maidenbower Colts FC home and away kits, ready to start their journey into Mini-Soccer, becoming our U7 Red Team. In September they will play in the Crawley & District Youth Football League. Thank you to our Kit Officer, Mitch, for ensuring their kits arrived in good time and to the U7 Squads’ new sponsor Wickhams Brown – Case Makers. maidenbowercoltsfc #grassrootsfootball #since1998 #footballfamily #proudtobecolts #youthfootball #cluboftheyear #awardwinning
