We are excited to introduce a new and unique opportunity for our Colts Players at U11 and above. We are launching the Maidenbower Colts FC Youth Council, and we want you to be a part of it.
This council will provide you with a platform to have a voice in the important decisions about your club. You’ll develop essential interpersonal and leadership skills, and play an important and critical role in shaping the future of our football club.
By joining the Youth Council, you will have the chance to contribute your ideas, suggestions, and opinions on various key subjects that directly impact you, your teammates and our entire football family. Some of the areas we will be discussing include:
Culture, Traits, and Behaviors Expected of Colts:
We believe in fostering a positive and inclusive club culture. As part of the Youth Council, you will have the opportunity to influence
and shape the values and behaviors we expect from all our players. This will help create a supportive and respectful environment for everyone involved.
Developing leadership skills is crucial both on and off the field. The Youth Council will focus on providing opportunities for you to enhance your leadership abilities, enabling you to become role models for your fellow players. You will have a chance to lead by example and inspire others to excel both in soccer and in their personal lives.
Awards and Recognition:
We want to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of our players. The Youth Council will discuss ways to recognise outstanding performances, sportsmanship, and dedication. Your insights will ensure that we have a fair and comprehensive system for honoring our players’ accomplishments.
Structure of the Club:
The Youth Council will play a vital role in shaping the structure and organisation of our club. You will have the chance to contribute ideas on improving training programs, scheduling, and overall operations. Your input will help us create a club that meets the needs and aspirations of all our players.
Social Events, Charitable and Community Engagement Projects:
Our club is not just about
football; it’s about fostering a sense of community and giving back. The Youth Council will come up with and help plan social events that bring us closer together as a whole club. Additionally, we will explore opportunities to engage in charitable and community projects, making a positive impact beyond the football pitch.
The Youth Council will meet bimonthly starting in late September 2023. The first Youth Council Meeting will involve setting out the rules of the Youth Council in order to create a safe and engaging environment for open discussion. To apply for a position on the Youth Council, we invite you to write a short piece explaining why you want to join, share your passion for football, your commitment to the club, and how you believe you can contribute to the council.
Additionally, please include three key issues or topics that are important to you that you
would like to discuss as part of the council’s agenda.
Submit your applications to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than 31st July 2023
The clubs Management Committee will review all applications carefully before selecting the first cohort. We encourage every Player who is interested to apply and make their voices heard.
Remember, this is YOUR opportunity to be a part of something special and have a lasting impact on the future of our club.
We look forward to receiving your applications and working together to build an exceptional Youth Council that represents the interests and aspirations of all our players and the wider community.
